Need boiler sizing help

Options
I could use some of your collective experience checking my boiler sizing calculations:

Cubic square feet 150,000 (csf x 6 on main, csf x 6 on 2nd, .5 of that in basement)

=150,000 btu output needed

X 1.15 (15%) make up for piping

X 1.15 (15%) pick up

=198,375

X 80% efficiency of boiler

=238,050 btu boiler size needed

Radiators:

Room height depth columns width sections

livings 20 8 5 81 33

livingn 20 8 5 50 21

dining 20 8 5 77 32

kitchen 32 8 5 35 15

master 20 8 5 68 28

bath 20 8 5 35 15

guest 20 8 5 63 26

nbed 20 8 5 68 28

sbed 20 8 5 50 21

Does 238K look correct?

Thanks

    EDR

Figure out the EDR of your rads. Then choose the boiler based upon that number. Post some pictures of your rads. I believe your rads are 2.66 sq ft per section.

    238k is to much

Your looking at 582.5 square feet of steam.

582.5x240= 139,800 btus that's your net IBR. The boiler manufactures all include the pick factor on there boiler so no need to add that in.

    You need 193,000 btus

    new boiler size

So the boiler i am looking at is a New Yorker with IBR rating of 629 sq ft of steam and btu of 151000/hr with a heating cap of 201000.

So I am concluding that while is slightly oversized it woiuld be appropriate for my home?
