Found this in the cellar today. May have heated the whole house at one time but in its last years, heated an area above the garage some distance away. New owners say hasn't been used in some time. Asbestos just falling off the pipes. 2 pipe but saw a vent on a radiator, thought they were only used on 1 pipe.

Aldrich?
ISTR they made units like that......
Maybe the system above the garage was 2-pipe air-vent. Are there traps on the radiators? All Steamed Up, Inc.

Heat Pack
Brand name we found was Heat Pack, made in Wyoming IL. Didn't look at the piping close enough. Just looked at one rad whose cover was off. Saw the vent.0 -
Aldrich
definitely. That company appears in late 1940s ASHVE guides as a maker of oil burners and boiler-burner units, and was located in Wyoming, IL. The unit in the pic is probably a steel tubular boiler of some sort.
I have an old nozzle cross reference that has a lot of Aldrich models, might be able to find a spec for that one ;-)All Steamed Up, Inc.
