A real infrared iphone case

Flir is coming out with a case that goes on the iphone 5/5S in a few months (android coming latter) They do not have many specs available yet but the scan range is 32F-212F
Based on the pics and videos the rez looks decent, at least as good as a unit four times the cost.
$350 with battery back up

A friend speak about this. Would love to know how good they actually work.
I wonder if they are any good for steam and hydronic applications.
