Heat in only one zone

in Oil Heating
Hello I have a 2 zone baseboard heat system. The zone downstairs is not working properly. I seem to have hot water but no heat. I have tried turning the thermostate up and down but no difference. I checked the circulating pump on this zone and it seems to be working. Our UP stairs zone is working properly and we have plenty of heat. Does anyone have any suggestions I might be able to try before calling a plumber. Thanks for the help in advance.

Heat in 1 zone
I'm far from an expert. However, in my daughter's home, this same phenomenon happened. The circulator was humming away , but not pumping water. It turned out to be a stuck pump shaft/motor. I tapped it with a plastic mallet, and magically it began to pump as it was suppose to. If this works for you, great, but you might need a new circulator. I hope it's that simple.0 -
heat in only one zone
The zone may be airbound. Try purging it.0 -
hey
You most likely have air trapped in that zone and it has to be blead out or the pump isnt circulating0
