Check valve on boiler loop

Im installing a small vitodens with the LLH and have a couple questions on back flow prevention (BFP).

1.On the boiler loop is a check valve required or is the IFC on the taco pump enough.?

2. in a continuous circ system is BFP even required at all, on the boiler.

3. if a check valve is mandatory, what type is best in a continuous circ boiler loop; swing, spring or... ?

4 and lastly, does the check valve have to be on the output of the circ or can it be on the input? (in this case the pump is in the boiler return)

Thanks

Robert

    no need for a check

with a low loss header, properly sized and piped, of course.

That is one of the features of creating a "wide spot in the road" the pump on either side will not induce flow in the opposite side.

If the circ(s) have a check built in, no harm no foul, they don't add much pressure drop, leave them in.
