In a snow melt system with a mixture of 30% glycol cab you use a regular pump? Or it had to be a stainless steel one or bronze? Paul s

No…...
problem, so long as you keep the corrosion inhibitor levels high, and 30% is the minimum recommended for corrosion inhibition protection on inhibited glycol, you will be fine.
But you MUST check the fluid pH annually, and may have to induce additional inhibitors if the pH starts declining.
If in doubt, and you can't guarantee fluid maintenance, then be safe and go non ferrous components.

Stainless and bronze are only needed for potable water or open system that can be damaged from oxygen0 -
inhibitors
So the glycol itself has corrosion inhibition.....and what should the ph be?9? Thanks Paul sASM Mechanical Company

PH of new
inhibited glycol runs 10- 11.0 ph. It will drop as the inhibitors get used up. Below 8 PH it is time to consider flushing and starting with new product.
If it is a good, tight, low temperature system, no O2 ingress, that fluid will last a long time. It pays to buy a good name brand, to be sure it has a good inhibitor package.
If you have any aluminum components, you need a glycol inhibited to be aluminum friendly. Usually look for AL on the label.Bob "hot rod" Rohr
