weil-mclain WGO-4 boiler... can it do DHW?

Hello -



I have a friend whose water heater has started leaking profusely. She has a Weil Mclain WGO-4 boiler. Can that boiler supply domestic hot water? I'm trying to determine whether it's necessary to replace the water heater or whether it can simply be removed.

    do you mean

    does it have a tankless coil? If it is a WTGO-4 yes, if not, then it is a cast over. You can go indirect off that boiler. It would be like adding another zone.

    No tankless coil...

    ...so it looks like replacing the water heater is the simplest solution. Thanks very much for your reply.
