Cad Cell Problem?
ww
Member Posts: 298
My Beckett AF burner kept going on and off at startup...then stayed on for a bit..then off and on again. At this point I shut it off. I checked the transformer, wiring for looseness and basic stuff.
I have to check the ohms tomorrow and the sensor for soot. How likely do you think that this could be the problem. Burner recently tuned up,adjusted and has been running fine. Are these replacement sensors that are off brands any good if needed?

you should post this in the oil heat section
but I would say it is either a bad zone vave, or primary control. The cad cell eye will only lock it out, and not short cycle/on & off. I would call a tech. Pics will help also. Good luck0
