question about tekmar 150/152 setpoint control

Hey everone...i have a question about the tekmar setpoint controls....im looking in there data brochures and they show examples like using a sensor to maintain slab temp in radiant heating or to maintain a pool\spa water temp....what i do not get is what controls the control itself if the control can turn the boiler on\off to maintain a specific temp what tells these controls that in the case of radiant heating (sensing slab temp) that heat is no longer needed, when the weather gets warm outside....thanks Paul S
