I posted about this before...you guys recomended increasing the header size from 2" to 3"....today i changed the header...did not do my usual drop header, just followed exact out of installation manual..i also skimmed boiler multiple times...dimension A is exactly 28"....the problem im having is that towards the end of the heating cycle the water level starts to drop...the pressure is set low .5 -1.5....eventually the boiler will go off on low water or pressure (i have the valve to the auto feeder off because boiler would flood and they will get no heat at all) and only when the gas goes off due too low water or pressure it seems like the water in boiler is backing into the return follow by a big swooosh of steam and then the hammering starts....i posted pics below....and it sounds like there is so much water in the mains swishing back and forth...customer stated that with the previous boiler all was good....i see that the end of main vent is in the wrong location and the bushing in the elbow at the end of main could hold water but l this was here for years ....help thanks paul s
