One way?

Is the Gorton D Equalizing Vent a one way vacuum vent? I need a radiator vent that allows air to vent, shut once steam flows, then stay shut even when cool. I am assuming the "equalizing" vents do just that but I would rather ask than order and return. Anybody out there know?

Nope
the only current-model vacuum vent I know of is the Hoffman #76, and that's a main vent. Where did you plan to use a vacuum vent? All Steamed Up, Inc.

One a radiator
I have one radiator in a room we don't use that only half heats. It's an old Eddy Vacuum system. This radiator is on the third floor, they vented the steam line into the steam return line that exits the radiator. There is a block in the return line somewhere, so the vent just circulates air back into the steam line, through the radiator and the cycle continues. I wanted to just vent the radiator, but my system holds about 15 psi of vacuum so I don;t want to lose that by using a vent that will allow air back in. It has a closed system Hoffman on it right now, but since the condensate / steam return line is clogged, it doesn't actually do anything.0
