Hey everyone wanted to post my drop header installation today.....removed badly piped boiler sized new boiler to Edr of radiation....critics welcome....used both tappings.....2"....into 3"drop header with 1 1/2 equalizer....and that Dry return in back right of boiler before there was no Hartford loop....Dry return just elbowed in tee at equalizer....should I pipe a Hartford loop? Yes, while ya doing the hartford loop, might as well turning that reducing el straight down to get the full benifit of the header pipe.

More on that reducing elbow

in its present position, water will back up behind it, which can cause wet steam and banging. It needs to be pointed down- THEN you can elbow over to hook up to the Hartford Loop.

What size

is that boiler? Looks the same as a WM EG-40 or 45?

Better but, can't see the very top.. is that tee bullheaded??? If so.. not good.... and the main return vent, I repiped back 15 "...
