This changeout replaced a copper fin tube boiler directly connected to non-barrier tubing. That the boiler lasted 17 years is remarkable, considering the corrosion.

The new system uses a Vitodens 200-26, NTI 40g SS indirect tank and a flatplate heat exchanger for both system and hydraulic separation. The LLH sensor is attached to the system side of the FPHX. The system pump is a SS Grundfos Alpha. We replaced the cheapo manifolds with Uponor EP manifolds in the interior of the residence.

The system is LP gas and setting up the Lambda gas valve for LP took less than 60 seconds.

Nice install! Neat and organized. How is the expansion tank held in place? I see a red bracket of some sort.

The flat plate heat exchanger has an insulating jacket purchased from Flat Plate.
