write up on Google search. It states that it will even seal a joint which is not fully seated due to positioning. I will have to check my local plumbing supply houses. Thanks for the reply Rich.
Anaerobic sealants are pretty amazing things.
Lots of manufacturers, but not really common here other than industrial and fire sprinkler applications.
Hercules pro dope.this is my choice for years.
Teflon tape & Megaloc for us........
we use rectorseal, permatex or blue block to name a few favorites
But I used Hercules Megaloc on all of my gas piping and it worked well. I didn't use any tape as it seemed to be frowned upon. So far that is the only dope I've found that I really like.
Teflon Tape on everything. Now, only the Blue Monster stuff in the 1/2" x 1429" rolls. You don't loose them as easily. Rectorseal #5 on gas or any of the other kinds that you can't get off your tools or clothes or Rectorseal #100 with Virgin Teflon or MegLoc on potable water. Almost 100% leak proof.
Heat is Teflon Tape with usually Rectorseal #5.
PROPERLY APPLIED Tape!!!!!
Rectorseal true blue. On copper male or female adapters i use blue monster teflon as well
Does anyone make 3/8" wide Teflon tape? I'd love to have it for the small stuff.
I dont know about 3/8but they do make 1/4 in. I think markal makes it, its been a while since i had some. Now that you made me think about it i think i will order a few rolls.
thanks!
