Venting boiler/ same chimney/ separate clay liner

I have a chimney with two clay lined flues that are separate. One is used for wood burning fire place. The other has gas water heater and gas furnace. Looking to add cpvc to that clay flue and getting rid of the water heater and furnace. Is it ok because it is in it own flue with fire place flue next to it. Also would I be better off with concentric? Looking into cpvc not may regular supply houses have it. Also would one worry about direct vent intake near wood burning fireplace. Thanks

    Separate but equal

A flue from a solid fuel burning appliance should always be well separated from the fresh air intake of any furnace or boiler. The byproducts of combustion in the flue are very corrosive this why there are muffler shops.

.Maybe you can arrange the combustion air intake from a sidewall.close to the boiler.--NBC
