Out with the old in with the new

Peerless boiler with 5" drop header

3" takeoffs

Separated the mains 2 1/2 in gate valves

Hoffmann 75's at each end

    What size is the boiler? I really like the look of the bushings instead of reducers on the drops.

    Weil-McLain 680 with Riello 2-stage burner, December 2012. Firing rate=375MBH Low, 690MBH Hi.
    System = Early Dunham 2-pipe Vacuo-Vapor (inlet and outlet both at bottom of radiators) Traps are Dunham #2 rebuilt w. Barnes-Jones Cage Units, Dunham-Bush 1E, Mepco 1E, and Armstrong TS-2. All valves haveTunstall orifices sized at 8 oz.
    Current connected load EDR= 1,259 sq ft, Original system EDR = 2,100 sq ft Vaporstat, 13 oz cutout, 4 oz cutin - Temp. control Tekmar 279.

    cant wait to fire it up,couldnt find any reducing 5' fittings

    so i used bushings ,but now i like it.

    no fun dropping the old 4" o.s & y from ceiling

    Looks good

    but are those Hoffman #75 vents adequate? Those 2-1/2" mains would have to be rather short for the #75s to vent them quickly......

    No not even close, but had to talk customer into

    Adding these two

    After they see results we can add more

    Probably three Gordon's # 2 on each end
