connecting Burham Baserays

Hi All,

I have an existing two pipe Trane vapor sytem with radiators in the original part of the house.  We have had an addition built and I have mounted the base board heaters years ago but never connected them.  Mostly because I have been busy and partly because it has been warm these past few years.

I am ready to connect them and have dusted of my LAOSH to refresh my memory.  With regard to connecting base board rads, Dan seems to be saying I should vent and  pipe the condensate down far enough in inches to match my operating pressure (9oz) and turn upward back into the supply and allow the condensate to drip back to the boiler thru the main like a one pipe system.   That sounds too good to be true because it is less pipework, less time to install and less cost so I must be missing something.  Am I?  Thanks in advance.

Joe
