relief valve placement

in Gas Heating
I'm installing a wm-97 110 (wall-hung) and only have 3.5 inches over top the boiler. if I place the relief valve as manual has it, it won't fit upright. can I install it at a 45 degree upward angle 6-7" away from the supply nipple? I would 90 off supply toward back wall and immediately tee left 3" and 45 upward with relief
