Not related to steam heating, but I figure there may be a few people interested in this.
The New England Wireless and Steam Museum in East Greenwich Rhode Island is doing their annual steam up tomorrow Saturday September 21st. If you have never been, the museum is really interesting place if you like big old iron. They have one of the largest collections of working stationary steam engines around. This is the one day a year they open up the doors and have pretty much everything running. From a 150 HP Corliss steam engine with a 15 foot flywheel down to scale model live steam locomotives, and pretty much every other thing in between. I won't even get into the old wireless radio stuff....
Information can be found here: <a href="http://www.newsm.org/Museum/dates.html">http://www.newsm.org/Museum/dates.html</a>
or here: <a href="http://www.newsm.org/steam-engines/steam.html">http://www.newsm.org/steam-engines/steam.html</a>
If you are nearby its a pretty fun few hours. No back to your regularly scheduled programing.
Richard.
