I didn't know that Tyvek tape was approved for sealing B-Vent. Actually, "sealing" is being generous; the tape was holding the pipe together with a 1/2" gap in between. Scary.
We changed out the furnace, and the venting.

Joe, it looks like they taped 5" upper section into a 6" lower section, right?
Good catch. If you show this to the ones who did it they'd probably come back with some nonsense such as they used the Tyvek tape because they were all out of foil tape as if that was any better.0 -
