Kinda sorta off topic, but thought I'd ask. I've got a substantial structural steel project here at the house and all my compressor filtration gear got lost in the move west. What do you use to filter and dry your compressed air? I don't want to pump a bunch of moisture into my plasma cutter. Thanks for the help

    depends on

    how much air you compress and the humidity. Here in Missouri I tried those throw away plastic moisture traps. But if I use the plasma for 20 minutes or more the filter is saturated.



    I see the pros use a quality refrigerated moisture removal system. I just bought a nice airbrush so I need to upgrade my moisture removal system. I guess you get what you pay for. For as much as I use mine I may just up-grade to a larger capacity inline trap.

    I would use what we used for years for pneumatic controls,  Use a inline modular filter system, first a dirt filter than a oil filter (available at Graingers),  Than a refrigerated air dryer, also a auto or manual blowdown for the air compressor tank.
