what does the "f and m" mean in f&m fing?

been in the buisness a long time now, never been asked.....till now...fee and mason? i dont know. some plumbing trivia fan out there must know!

Are you sure its not F&C??
F = floor, C = ceiling. Floor and Ceiling flange, or floor and ceiling plate.
I've never heard it called and F&M unless its was mispronounced (I'm tellin' ya, itsa Effen M flange..., not an Effen f and c flange) ;-)
