Please Steam Experts..Switching Oil burner to gas burner on W.McLain 478 Boiler ?

Dear Steam Experts,
The newer W.McLain EGH 85 (350,000 btu)..gas fired Steam boiler is not really very efficient 81%. Which I think is similar to the W.McLain 478 Oil fired one we have(400,000) now. It is a little oversized..maybe.. : )
Does it make sense to change the entire boiler..or simply do a gas burner on the boiler we have?
In future oil may go back down to less than gas..who knows...
Any first hand experience? Thanks

I'd simply
convert that 4-78 to gas. When the time comes to replace it, you could probably use the gas burner on a 4-80 which is the current version.All Steamed Up, Inc.
