Bad judgement call

Today was 92* or so. I had a 3hr service call in a scrunched down ,laying on your side only attic. After 30 min or so I wanted to know the attic temp. I said it 115 -117 *F , my digital thermometer peaked at 127.9*F . Guess I was wrong again!
