Is there any way to stay signed in this site? It would make it so much easier.

You stay signed in as long as you leave the site open.

Another option is to get dashlane, which protects and remembers your passwords and signs you in automatically. It's free: dashlane.com

    Sort of

if you don't refresh a page oevery so often (seem like about an hour or so) the session dies.

How about a drop-down menu at sign-in that says "keep me signed in for" with choices of say, 1/2/4/8/12 hours?

I can't stay signed in even if I leave the window open. I just had to sign back in after leaning my last post? And I have also timed out? in the middle of a post.

    Last Pass

will also do this, but most forum software does have some control over session timeouts.

    This was custom-built.

We'd have to build that in.

    Ouch.

Didn't realize that you had started from scratch.  Expensive proposition.
