Replace Bathroom Convector?

Hello - long time lurker, since purchasing a home with a two-pipe steam system back-in late 2011. So far I've mostly only done work with the system in the basement, but now I've started renovations in a few rooms and I need to figure out what I should do with all these convectors.
Specifically in the bathroom, currently in the midst of demo.
As this will be a full renovation, with trying to keep some period feel, I'm trying to figure out the best direction for this relatively ugly convector (the window above it is being removed).
Refinish it?
Replace it? (if so, with what?)
Create a wood cover (stained to match the vanity? (Is that even a possibility)

Thanks.

Convector Covers
Hi- The most innovative radiator setups/coverings I have found are made by Jaga. They do some great ones in natural wood! Looking through the literature and catalog might give you some ideas.

I've attached a photo of a nice built in convector with shelves above. Something like this would also cover the piping. I'd keep the area of the openings top and bottom similar to the old one.
