oil and freon leak - Carlyle Compressor

90 lbs of r-22 freon leaked from a capilary tube that broke by oil pump.
an oil pressure control blew out
the oil pressure control was bypassed
curious to know why this might have happened
its a Carlyle 06E series compressor

probably due to excessive vibation or cap tube wearing on other components, Someone jumpered switch probably due to refrig. floodback or excessive high refrig temps which can entrain oil out of compressor. could be alot of problems, ( poor air fow at ahu ? )There was an error rendering this rich post.
