Possible To Move Gas Furnace & Water Tank To Different Location?

Hi,
I'm in the process of purchasing a home, and for some reason in the unfinished basement the gas furnace / flue (within cinder block) and water tank are in the middle of the basement.
Is it possible to relocate the gas furnace / flue (within cinder block) and water tank to a corner location of the basement this way the floor plan is much more open?
Thank you!

boiler relocation
are you referring to a boiler, either producing steam or hot water for heat, and domestic hot water?
send us the make and model, along with some pictures. some boilers do not need a flue up to the roof, while others do, so that flue location may be the key.--nbc0 -
Remember you have
To move everything. You have to move duct work or piping, flue, gas line, electric ect. Flue length has limitations. Or you have to by new equipment that is direct vented. better off working around it.0
