Boiler room door

My boiler is in a very small closet in a finished basement. I added a direct air intake to the boiler from outside and want to replace the closet door. I have the following questions:
- If I install a wood door, does it need metal flashing on the inside by code?
- what door vent products are recommended to reduce noise?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Without knowing where you live, we couldn't tell you what the code is. Give a call to your local department of buildings and ask to speak with an inspector. Usually they're very helpful.
