Hunter's Curve

I've noticed there are lots of people who possess a driver's license who cannot drive. I am in the same boat as I hold a plumbing license and will tell you right up front that you don't want me plumbing your house.
I do have a question about Hunter's Curve used in most codes to size water supply piping. Is there a relationship between the WSFU calculation and water heater size? It seems like an appropriate measure, but I have been wrong before. What sayeth you professionals. Is my assumption correct?
