Midco lonox burner availability
vaporvac

I'm just wondering if someone could contact me who has purchased on of these burners. I still can't get a price or determine where to get one. I contacted Midco who kindly put me in touch with their local distributors, who put me in touch with their rep,who then tried to sell me a Wayne burner and atmospheric boiler and never got back in touch after I said that's not what I wanted. The same thing has happened twice since with different supply houses. I know some folks out there have used this burner and I'd just like a ball park figure from someone to figure out any ROI on that burner vs the Riello.
I had emailed someone on this site who had just ordered one, but never heard back. I know we don't discuss $$$, which is why I'm open to a personal email.
SlantFins' tech people do feel there is an advantage for my vacuum system to run off a modulating burner as opposed to using some fancy heat-timer device. They said I could probably only get maybe 8-10% more efficiency, but that sounded pretty good to me. Actually, I haven't been able to get any pricing for any of the modulating burners that I posted about prior...only the Riello and Carlin201. The Tr50s are on order from simplyplumbing.com (thanks for the heads up on that wonderful site, and a shout-out to Karen for being so helpful). It will probably take a bit to get them in place, but I still need to move ahead on these burners.
Any other internet sources would be appreciated as well.
Moving ahead with the install....Colleen

One down, 4 to go!
Thank you for that helpful email, Mark! So, for me the Midco lonox is out of the running. Is the Midco low nox the only gas power burner with ECM? that's a great thing about it.
I still have no pricing or sources for the following:
Midco EC300
Midco RE4400DS HTD
Powerflame X4 or x4HDT
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Let me clarify that...
If you don't have pricing or don't want to share that, a resource or online store would be helpful.
Still wondering if there are any other gas powered burners with ECM.
As always, THANK you.Two-pipe Trane vaporvacuum system; 1466 edr

I'm guessing that
price put the Low NOx out of the running? Two modulating burners on twinned boilers would cost a pile and present some interesting controls challenges. A single modulating burner on a single larger boiler would probably make much more sense. If you've already committed to having two boilers, I don't think even two-stage burners are going to be workable without specialized controls.0 -
Too $$$!!!
You can say that again! It would be a very long payback.
I have committed to the two SFtr50s. They should be making their way to me as I write! The burner manufacturers that I spoke with (midco & power-flame) indicated that the modulating burners could work off a vaporstat. The boilers work off a control that does the stage-firing based on pressure and changes the boiler so the same one isn't always getting the max load. I didn't get the impression the controls were too complicated.
SF said if I decide not to go with the modulating burner, I could get similar results with a heat-timer, but I'll cross that bridge when i come to it, and that's something I can always add later. Thanks for your reply, SWEI.
