Monoflow system change

I currently live in a cape style house. I have a single mono flow pipe layout with one zone heating both floors. Heat emitters are copper convectors. The rooms at the end of the line are cooler than others. In addition, I would like to finish the basement and the pipe would need to be raised. Question: If i were to have the pipe system changed and seperate the floors by zone, what would be the best piping arrangement? Would manifold and pipe to each emitter, reverse return or direct return work best. Thanks for your help.

Reverse Return
Yes you can home run and reverse return on a two zone manifold set up .TRV's would be better but have there are 60 year old convectors . You can balance with the manifold valves or cover the over heated elements with tinfoil or cardboard id you don't have the dampers . Throw in an outdoor reset unless you are still using a coil for hot water .There was an error rendering this rich post.
