noisy radiators

i live in an old house in somerville mass. i have, on my first floor only, a steam system. the radiators are old, the pipes are old, but the boiler is only about a year old. it is a gas-fired system. the radiators are abour 39 inches high and they range from 5 tubes to 8 tubes. i replaced, at the suggestion of my plimber, all radiator valves with those made by Vent-Rite. after installing the furnace the plumber cleaned out teh boiler with Pure Pro Steam Boiler Cleaner. my only problem with this system is the noise. it sounds like a set of jingle bells inside those radiators, especially the one furthest away from the boiler and the one in my bedroom, which is failrly close to the boiler. all the pipes in the cellar, as far as i can see, are pitched toward the boiler in this one-pipe system. anything you can do to help with would be very much appreciated. thank you.
