Cold Start Boiler questions
tangled in wires
Member Posts: 23
Hey everyone. Just a quick thank you to all the people on here who take time out of their days and schedules to answer questions from us younger guys in the trades.
The company I work for is doing alot of work for the Gas company doing gas conversions. Where I live the Gas company offers very good deals on The Burnham alpine modulating/condensing boiler so thats what we install most. My question is in regards to maximizing efficency of the boiler by extracting as much heat as possible from the boiler so that heat isn't lost to the surrounding air in between cycles. In the attempt to lessen standby energy loss is there any way the boiler could be configured to circulate whatever hot water that was left over after the call for heat through the indirect water heater so any leftover heat could be collected and used for DHW and not simply lost to its surrroundings.
Now im not sure if this is something that the boiler is pre programmed to do this kinda like a post purge or if it is something that has to programmed or wired up kind of like the DHW being priotized on the control board.
thanks
