Boiler
We install a lot of SMITH boilers fitted with gas burners. We've achieved as high as 87.2% efficiency. But it all depends on your required BTUH load and system.0 -

r wet base boilers w/gas blower burners worth it? do they use less gas? is it like night and day, will u never install an atmospheric?0 -
Boilers
The first time I saw a gas steam boiler running 87%, I knew that I would never want to offer anything less from that point on. The technical advantages (ability to adjust nearly every combustion setting) are what really impress me. Plus, it allows a for a safer, more controlled operations. Add to that, an adjustable firing rate, and the potential for staging and modulation.
So...yes...they're worth it.0
