Glycol Testing:
I've used one of these for years. They work on both kinds of glycol (Polypropylene Glycol and Ethylene Glycol. Plus, you can test your battery charge. If they are dropped and the prisms go out of adjustment, you can send them back for repair.
I was told that one brand (the brand you are using) could only be tested with their test strips. I was told my Misco that that companies buy their refractometers from Misco. And how would you know what kind you are using is there isn't a label on the system?
Just don't leave them on the dashboard of your truck. The heat from the sun can cause the gauge film to crinkle and be hard to read.
