    If your baseboard

output is 500 BTU/foot and you design for a 20 degree temperature drop, that's an output of 192,500 BTU with a flow rate of 19.25 GPM.
    8.33 lbs./gal. x 60 min./hr. x 20°ΔT = 10,000 BTU's/hour

Two btu per sq ft for degree difference for a slab

    Gpm

Depends on the heat loss and required BTUH's.

There may be more to it than temperature drop

Such as, min and max flow through the venturi tees in order for them to work properly. I remember seeing discussions about this but I didn't retain what it was.

    Main Size:

Which probably needs a 2" main size unless or until you branch off to individual circuits to the separate units.

    FLOW

That is what i thought to ask .What is the flow to make the venture tee's work. Have a lot of air problems. Thanks to all.

Sounds like it is time for a big ECM circulator?

    There's a lot to this.

This is from the Library: http://www.heatinghelp.com/files/articles/955/281.pdf

Read up on it before you do anything else.

I am interested in how this was zoned. Could you make a simple drawing of one zone and post it?

    B&G Handbook

I got so much out of it that I actually bought a 1949 hard copy on eBay.  If you're patient, they can be had for under $10 shipped.

    Thanks, Dan!

    That book

is how I first learned about hydronics. I went to work for the rep. They say me down with that book and said, "Read."

It was good advice. I've been reading ever since.
