Need new oil furnace I am told. My Gibralter is fifty years old, I guess I am due. Need recommendation for best equipment to go with. Want an efficient unit with instant hw, efficient, dependable and long lasting. Local heating expert would replace with a Peerless WB3 and possibly reuse Riello burner. All comments and recommendations welcome.

I wouldn't reuse the burner...
How old is this burner? model #? If you are getting a new system, get a new system...
But anyway, If I were your contractor, I would perform a heat loss for your building, then try to sell you {since you mention the 3 section, Id imagine you call for around 100K}
a Buderus G115 with Riello burner, a smart 40 indirect water heater, Outdoor reset aquastat control, taco circulator control with hot water primary, delta t circulators...
PS- "lingo lesson" furnace = Forced warm air style heater & Boiler = Water heat....0
