Hot water loop off of steam boiler and a Spirovent.

Hi,
We have a hot water loop off of a steam boiler that is getting air in it. I called a plumber and he installed a spirovent. After speaking with other plumbers I am told that the spirovent should not be on the hotwater loop because it can put air back into the loop. Can someone please confirm this is the case? The mixed answers are confusing me.

It depends on how the system is piped
If the hot water loop is using the boiler water directly then no Spirovent. If the system is using a heat exchanger that allows the system to be pressurized then yes Spirovent. Photos please.Cost is what you spend , value is what you get.
