Banging pipes
hydrohead
Member Posts: 10
Two story rooming house. Each level has six rooms. Each room has a Danfoss RA2000 in line radiator valve with 15 feet of baseboard. The system is a constant circulation with a B+G PL-36 circulator. Automatic air vent in every room. I replaced all the air vents. Every room has heat working but the baseboard bangs in two of the rooms . Any suggestions

Is there a
Bypass on the system? How is the boiler piped? Primary secondary? What happens if only one zone calls.0 -
sounds like....
Hydraulic jump to me. I would swap out the B&G for an Alpha 15-58 circ and your problems will disappear. Similar to what can happen to a quick close zone valve w/ a high head circ.0 -
Primary/Secondary
It is piped primary/secondary. How about the Taco Bumblebee circulator? .0 -
Primary Secondary
So you have two circs, one for the boiler and another for the heating loop.0 -
Yes
Yes, Taco 0014 for my boiler loop and B+G PL-36 for my system.0
