I currently have a 925 control. I noticed my swirl plate is

deteriorating since there is shavings below it. How can I manually

extend the post purge time longer? Thanks,Dan

    If the swirl plate

Is deteriorating then you are recirculation flue gas. You have to ex-ten your outlet pipe further past your air in.

    Swirl Plates:

If they rumble and roar, they can also be backfiring and burning inside the swirl plate.

That's some serious recirculation of combustion products. When you change the plate, look to see if one vane passageway is rough and not the others. going in to the venturi. I had one but I think I finally threw it out. No one cared.

    925 control

Thanks Ice sailor. When I originally installed

my Munchkin I had a 12" gap for about a year. Then was told to extend it to a 18" gap which I did. I just serviced my heat exchanger today which was pretty clean. I did this because I noticed a little rumbling. I guess I have to change my swirl plate and do a inspection of the fan.

    What?

What is all that "stuff" at the end of your post?

    What it is:

What it is is, if you changed the screen, you would see smiling faces and signs of the devil. AKA, a form of machine code thaat these things use to talk to each other.

    Only replaced

One swirl plate and when I check the flue piping it look like the stubbed both air in and flue out and used a saw-zal to cut them both off same length. Also that plate is pricey.

    Plates:

If that plate is deteriorated, and pieces are missing, the burner will never run right,

    But you knew that.

    925 control

On another post I wrote previously, someone said the 926 control has a longer post purge time which prevents heat from deteriorating the swirl plate. Yet he said you can extend the post purge time on the 925 control to do the same. My question is, how can I increase the post purge time to help keep my boiler working optimally if possible? Thanks everyone.
