The American Public Gas Association filed a lawsuit against the DOE concerning the upcoming regional gas furnace efficiency standards.



On Friday Jan 11th, the court announced a mediated settlement which requires The DOE to go back and start a new efficiency rulemaking for gas furnaces.



This means that no new gas furnace efficiency standards will go into effect on May 1, 2013. The settlement agreement is attached. Happy reading.
