Tankless gas water heater heaters heat exchangers stainless steel vs copper. What heat exchanger is better at transferring heat SS or copper. I know there are different grades of SS and copper. What brand do you use and why?

I have no allegience
Applications and budgets differ, there is a place for all kinds.
Copper is actually better for heat exchange, but the SS guys add more material and passageways to make up the transfer difference. However SS is better than copper for corrosion inhibitance, and better suited than copper is for velocity erosion reduction.0
