Wheeler Rex threader

I have always been a Rigid threader guy, I have had Osters, too heavy, and Toledos, good but hard for getting dies now. So I came across a Wheeler Rex threader. I can get dies for it through my wholesaler, but no one around here has had one. This one will go to 6" and would make threading headers much better for me. I know many people just buy nipples, I prefer threading my own pipe. SO the question is Have you guys had or used one? Have any of you known someone who had one? I am also looking for a Beaver geared pipe cutter if anyone knows where one can be found.

I cut my eye teeth on Rigid threaders, but bought a small Wheeler Rex for those small jobs .  It was a tiny machine that only thread 1/2" and 3/4" pipe I believe; maybe it went up to an 1", but it wasn't stout and only lasted a few years.  Saying that, I think the larger machines were built better, but I've never owned one.

After awhile, we started in with Rems Amigo threaders and they have been the best.

    Thanks Alan

The Amigo is a bit small for threading 6" though. If it is in place I just hand thread otherwise I use the Rigid 300.

    threaders

Have no experience with Wheeler Rex. There is a lot of stuff out their besides Rigid and some of it is very good. Reed, Rothenberger/Collins, Rems. Toledo and Oster are mostly gone because you can't find parts.

I think Rems is excellent stuff made in Germany. I had an Amigo threader made by Rems (until my brother borrowed?? it)

I also have (2) Toledo 41E threaders (threads 2 1/2-4") basically the same as the Ridgid 141. They need dies which I guess are unavailable (have checked e-bay).

    Hate to throw them out.
