Cant find Burnham manual

I apologize in advance if this is a ridiculous question- but I am trying to help my aunt with a few things on her burnham model 405B I boiler. They do not have the manual, nor is it anywhere online! I mostly was hoping to familiarize myself with her boiler and have proper water levels according to spec, etc. I cant seem to find anything even remotely close! Thanks for any and all help in advance.

I think I have a copy of that manual but it will take some time to locate. Send me a PM thru this board with your e-mail address- I'll see what I can do.

Is this a steam or hot-water system?

    Call US Boiler / Burnham

I have a 405b in a house that I just bought last year and called them for the manual this past September.  It took the girl helping me a few minutes to find the manual but she got it and faxed it to me that same day.  If you can't get what you need, I'll bring my copy to work and scan it tomorrow.

    Auntie's boiler

Generally, you are safe using the midpoint of the sight-glass as the normal, at rest water line. Use a clothes pin on the rods by the glass to mark the level so you can see if it is losing or gaining water. That way your aunt herself could turn off the boiler, and check the level herself.

See if you can also check the steam pressure which should not go above 1.5 psi, for basic function (or 8 ounces for comfort and economy).--NBC

    NWL is 26" AFF

I forgot my manual today, but if what you really want is to make sure the water level is right, it's 26 inches above the floor (or whatever pad the boiler may sit on).
