Furnace vs hot water heater

Hi Everyone!

Looking for some help with my hot water heater - seems to shut off whenever my furnace starts up. This happens EVERY YEAR without fail, and I'm really tired of it. I'm diligent about getting my furnace cleaned every year, but no matter what, when heating season starts every year, say November, my first clue to remember to call my service tech is when I get up in the morning and have cold/tepid water. I go to the hot water heater and sure enough the red light is on!!! I call, they come out, clean my furnace, and I'm usually fine until the NEXT year. Why??? What is so magical about the cleaning that it fixes it??

    Water

Sounds like either a gas supply or venting issue. I would have the problem found as soon as possible to make sure hat everything is working safely.
