I'm on the board of a pre-war, 70 unit, 6 floor coop, with single pipe steam. We are fans of Dan's book and have learned enough to know our system is a mess. We think we have ideas (again based on reading a few of the books) to improve efficiency, but are seeking a consultant to take a look at our system and offer additional suggestions or validate our ideas if they are good. Our super is great at installing new vents, so I don't think we need a full contractor, but rather someone who can help us come up with a plan to properly vent the system with our confusing mains, our four pressuretrols, and our 5psi pressure. If we could just spend half a day with someone, i think we'd be off to a great start. Suggestions?!
