To Sell is Human by Dan Pink

Even though the Big Kahuna suggested I write something here, I thought long and hard. It's been quite some time since I visited the Wall. And now I'm here to suggest you go out and buy a book? Hard working Wall dwellers don't take kindly to no panhandling.
Technically this isn't panhandling since there is value to be had (freebies)
"Wiz, don't give us any mumbo-jumbo sales talk."
Okay, here's how I finally convinced myself. Along with Tom and Klaatu, we landed here at the Wall in 1998. I'm thinking the fellas and I are responsible for a brick or two in the foundation. I'm hoping that buys me a little street cred.
Although I believe in To Sell is Human and would be talking about it like any book I love, for instance, How To Teach Technicians, I must tell you, I am a member of Dan PInk's book pre-launch team. I'm not being paid for this.
This link is to a two-minute little video that describes the book: http://www.danpink.com/tsih-trailer
Like Dead Men who have a particular soft spot in their hearts for a carefully crafted Hartford Loop, I am rather fond of Dan Pink's ability to really see the world today. Dan believes that slick-Willy salesmen and their slimey ways are no longer effective. All of us are in sales one way or another and to become effective we must tap into our human side.
I know what you're thinking.
"Wiz, this ain't going to work on you, cause you aren't from around here, are you?"
As the waves gently lap upon the shores of Groom Lake, Wiz gets back to his pitch.
I hope my original reluctance to stop by and chat with you isn't going to hinder your ability to get some freebies. If you pre-order Dan's book, you get all of the freebies (there are a limited amount of Field Note memo books though) listed here: http://www.danpink.com/2012/11/5-freebies-for-first-movers
But you only got till Dec 31st.
And now I'd like you to meet the cat I wish I had the courage to be. ..Aaron Draplin, creator of Field Notes. Dan is using a limited & customized edition of the Field Note memo book as one of his freebies. I promise you, the Big Kahuna's Dead Men will start posting here after they watch Aaron's short video: http://vimeo.com/40182652
Might YOU be able to utilize one of Aaron's customized Field Note memo books for YOUR biz?
I realize the Wall is a way fancier version of the one started years ago. But after being here a while I can still smell the cutting oil as I work this thread. And I firmly believe that no matter how long one is away from friends like you, they can always come back and pick up the conversation.
Thanks Dano! And thanks to y'all for listening! (I've picked up an accent since moving to Fla)
One more thing, Tom51 dissected an old AREA51HVAC link and removed a small amount of its DNA. He embedded it into an old computer laying around in his garage and then waited for it to grow. Go here to see what it looks like today: https://www.facebook.com/groups/289123097769672/
