I just replaced the vent rites with the Gorton #2's on the mains. This is a new one pipe system. Should I leave at the end of the main ( see picture ) or do the menorah set up? If it is not 6 inches above the main, is it ok?
thanks

Probably ok
It does not look like you have much vertical height, if you are still nervous just make that horizontal run 12 - 16" long but make sure it's slope allows water to flow back towards the return. Those two 90 degree elbows should stop any slugs of water so I think you will be ok unless you need more than 1 Gorton #2, then you would need the menora setup.
