Gas regulators need vents?

I was asked to inspect a property yesterday for a sale and I found this.
It was done by the gas provider (LP). I always though that gas regulators had to have the vents piped 4" away from a source of ignition. One regulator is next to the generator, and the other is next to the pool heater.
Just asking;
Sorry for the mix-up, when I tried to look at the photos, they posted to the site. The only one is the last one. That one is behind the gas pool heater.

Pool Heaters
That industry flies by another set of rules. I was once told I wasn't qualified to fix a leaky spa by the counter guy at a pool supply place. Property owners call all the time to get help with messed-up gas pool boilers. Some of it makes your hair stand on end; and they don't need no stinkin' permits.0
